Joe Gordon enjoyed an 11 year career as a player taking the field for the New York Yankees (1938-43,1949) and Cleveland Indians (1947-50). Gordon was a great fielding second baseman as well as being very apt with the bat. He was named to 9 All-Star teams, Played on 5 World Series Championship teams, as well as being named A.L. MVP in 1952. These achievements led to Gordon's election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990. After his playing career Gordon managed in the bigs for 5 seasons. Gordon sported this jersey while managing the Kansas City Royals 1969 expansion team. The jersey is tagged correctly and the 100th year patch rests on the sleeve. The jersey shows light use as one would expect from a managers jersey. Very nice game used example worn by this Hall of Fame member during the Kansas City Royals inaugural season!!!
