Cleveland State finished the 1985-86 season with a 29-4 record. A 14 seed in the NCAA tournament Cleveland State shocked everyone becoming the first 14 seed to advance to the sweet sixteen defeating Indiana and St.Joe's before losing a heart breaker to David Robinson led Navy 70-71. This jersey was worn by 6'8" starting center Eric Mudd who led the Vikings in rebounds while almost averaging a double double during the 1985-86 season.This jersey shows nice use and it displays quite wonderfully. Great star caliber jersey from one of the tourney's great Cinderella teams!!! LOA from jersey expert Dave Miedema accompanies this lot.
Note to lot: Upon authentication jersey expert Dave Miedema was unable to determine if this particular jersey was with out a doubt worn by Eric Mudd as the style was used for several seasons. We believe that this jersey was most likely handed down and that Mudd would have been the last to wear it but that as is pointed out in the LOA is not an absolute.
