Catfish Hunter was named to 8 All-Star games, Pitched for 5 World Series Champions, Captured the 1974 Cy Young, and was named to the Hall Of Fame in 1987. Hunter brandished this bat during the 1970-72 seasons while pitching for the Oakland Athletics. An apt batter Hunter swatted 2 HR's and drove in 23 runs during the 1970-72 seasons. This bat shows excellent use and Hunter's player number 27 rests on the knob in period black marker. The bat was missing a small piece of the back barrel which has been professionally repaired. Very tough to find game used bat from this Hall of Fame pitcher!!! PSA Letter accompanies this lot
