Legendary Kansas guard Darnell Valentine wore these shorts while playing in the NBA with the L.A. Clippers. A Kansas native from Wichita Valentine succeeded his brilliant prep career with an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Kansas. Valentine was the 1st basketball player in Big 8 history to be named 1st team All-Conference 4 times. Valentine led KU to 2 NCAA tournament appearances and was named to the 1980 Olympic team. KU fittingly retired his jersey in 2005 . Drafted with the 16th pick of the 1981 NBA draft by the Portland Trailblazers Valentine enjoyed a 10 year career in the league. Valentine averaged 8.7 ppg and 5.0 apg during his career which included stints with the L.A. Clippers and Cleveland Caviliers following his 4 1/2 years with Portland. nice game used relic from this popular player!!!
