This Government Issued Postcard (GPC) features a vintage very early and rare autograph (graded mint 9) from Wilt Chamberlain in blue ballpoint pen. Chamberlain inscribed, "To John, Best of Everything, Wilt Chamberlain." The GPC is postmarked to Lawrence, Kansas on March 29, 1957, which dates it to Chamberlain's college days at the University of Kansas and less than one week following the NCAA championship game between the 31-0 #1 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels and the #2 Kansas Jayhawks played at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. The game was eventually won by UNC 54-53 in triple overtime. The GPC is slabbed and authenticated by BAS.
