Legendary manager Billy Martin wore these pants while he was the skipper of the 1982 Oakland A's. Coming off a successful seasons in 1980 and 1981 expectations were high for the 1982 A's. The team failed to deliver and Martin was given his walking papers in October. These pants were worn by Martin during that 1982 season and following his dismissal were worn by pitcher Tom Burgmeier. The pants show moderate use and tagging for Martin as well as year code remain in the waist line. Martin's name has been crossed out in marker and Burgmeier's player number has been written on the Sand-Knit tag. Despite being recycled these pants remain an attractive relic from one of baseball's true characters!!!
