Edison Volquez has pitched 13 seasons in the majors taking the mound for the Texas Rangers (2005-07), Cincinnati Reds (2008-11), San Diego Padres (2012-13, L.A. Dodgers (2013), Pittsburgh Pirates (2014), Kansas City Royals (2015-16), and Miami Marlins (2017). Volquez was an All-Star in 2008 and was a important member of the Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series Championship team.
