Jim Gleeson played 5 seasons in the majors taking the field for the Cleveland Indians (1936), Chicago Cubs (1939-40), and Cincinnati Reds (1941-42). Gleeson was a solid outfielder and had a career year in 1940 with the Chicago Cubs hitting 5 HR's while driving in 61 and batting .316. After his playing career Gleeson managed in the minors, was a Kansas City A's scout. and coached in the New York Yankees organization. This bat dates to the 1934-43 seasons. The bat shows heavy use and has a slight handle crack. Nice gamer from this popular player, scout, and coach!!!
