Pitcher Mike Hedlund pitched 6 seasons in the Majors the majority of which were with the Kansas City Royals. Hedlund was selected by the Royals in the 1969 expansion draft and sported this game used glove while pitching for the Kansas City Royals from 1969-72. Hedlund won a career high 15 games for the Royals in 1971 posting an impressive 2.71 ERA over 200+ innings. This gamer dates to the 1970-71 seasons. The bat shows heavy use and has been signed by Hedlund. The player number 23 rests on the knob leading us to believe the bat was used by Hedlund as well as teammate and fellow pitcher Al Fitzmorris.
