You Sir are the greatest athlete in the world" years later it's still hard to argue with that flattering statement that King Gustavo V bestowed on Jim Thorpe. This lot contains 2 signed pieces from Thorpe as well as a frame that Thorpe made when he was attending Haskell Institute as a youth and later gave to Thorpe's friend Clarence Davis. Housed inside that hand made frame rest 1 of the 2 autographs included in this lot. The 2nd signed piece is a typed letter dated Oct. 12, 1934 and is signed by both Davis and Thorpe however we believe the Thorpe to be a secretarial signature. Absolutely fantastic lot from legendary athlete Jim Thorpe. PSA letter for framed signature accompanies this lot.
