Fantastic trophy from the Inaugural NIT Tip-Off Classic. This trophy was awarded to the Kansas Jayhawks following there triumph over Pepperdine and Washington to win the West Regional of the Pre-Season NIT. Kansas would go on to defeat Louisville at Madison Square Garden in the semi-finals before bowing to Duke in the Championship game. KU, Duke, and Louisville would all go on to have successful seasons as all 3 ended up in the Final 4 at the end of the year. Fantastic trophy not only from KU's storied basketball tradition but also from dating to the first of what has become a yearly event. Wonderful college basketball relic!!!
