Al Cowens played 12 years in the bigs suiting up for the Kansas City Royals (1974-79), California Angels (1980), Detroit Tigers (1980-81), and Seattle Mariners (1982-86). Cowens collected 1,494 Hits, 108 Home Runs, and 717 RBI's during the course of his career. A fine defensive outfielder Cowens was awarded a Gold Glove in 1977. Cowens was a staple in the Royals line-up in the 1970's and appeared in 3 straight League Championship Series (1976-78). The bat shows heavy use and has a handle crack. Cowens name is written on the bat but we do not believe it to be signed in his hand.
