Freddie Patek played 14 years in the majors shoring up the middle infield for the Pirates (1968-70), Royals (1971-79), and Angels (1980-81). Patek picked up 1,340 hits, 41 Home Runs, 490 RBI, and 385 Stolen Bases. In addition to Patek's ability to handle the bat he was also an outstanding fielder. These qualities helped him receive 3 All-Star nominations (1972,1976 & 1978). This bat was issued to Patek for use in the 1976 All-Star game. The bat exhibits rack marks and a few contact marks, these would have had to come from BP or post All-Star game as Patek did not receive an at bat in the mid-summer classic in 1976. A very nice relic from this popular Kansas City Royals player!!!
