John Smoltz pitched 21 seasons in the bigs taking the mound for the Atlanta Braves (1988-99 & 2000-08) Boston Red Sox (2009), and St. Louis Cardinals (2009). Smoltz was an 8x All-Star and won the CY Young in 1996. A member of the 2015 Hall of Fame class, Smoltz led the N.L. in wins twice (1996 & 2006) and saves once (2002). This home jersey was worn by Smoltz during the 2002 season. This Russell jersey is tagged correctly for use in the 2002 season and shows moderate use. 2002 was the first season that Smoltz assumed a closers role, acclimating quite well as he led the N.L. in saves and was named Rolaids Relief Man of the Year while wearing this jersey.
