Frank White won 8 Gold Gloves during his career establishing himself as one of the premier defensive 2nd baseman to play the game. White won this award following the 1987 season. This is the actual award presented to White and happens to be the final Gold Glove he was awarded. White played his entire career with the Kansas City Royals and in 1995 he became the 2nd player to have his number retired by the team. White participated in 5 All-Star games and was awarded the Silver Slugger award in 1986. This highly coveted award displays very well and is in excellent condition. A signed letter by Frank White attesting to this being his personal Gold Glove Award accompanies this lot. Fantastic relic that notes a portion of White's impressive career!!! This will most likely be the last one of White's 8 Gold Glove awards to be sold to the public!!! This lot does have a modest reserve.
