Don Baylor played 19 seasons in the majors taking the field for the Baltimore Orioles (1970-75), Oakland A's (1976,1988), California Angels (1977-82), New York Yankees (1983-85), Boston Red Sox (1986-87), and Minnesota Twins (1987). Baylor picked up 2,135 Hits, 338 Home Runs, and 1,276 RBIs during the course of his career. 1979 saw Baylor selected to play in the All-Star game as well as being named MVP of the A.L. when the season concluded. Baylor went on the collect 3 Silver Slugger Awards (1983,85,86) and following his playing career was named 1995 N.L. Manager of the year.
