Frank White won 8 Gold Gloves during his career establishing himself as one of the premier defensive 2nd baseman to play the game.
White won this award following the 1979 season a year that also saw him named to the All-Star team. This is the actual award presented to White and is the 1st Gold Glove of his to be offered at auction. White played his entire career with the Kansas City Royals and in 1995 he became the 2nd player to have his number retired by the team. White participated in 5 All-Star games and was awarded the Silver Slugger award in 1986. This highly coveted award displays very well and is in excellent condition. The reverse of the wood base shows some slight wear due to being displayed on a shelf. Fantastic relic that notes a portion of White's impressive career!!! This will most likely be the only one of White's 8 Gold Glove awards to be sold to the public!!!
