Joe Gordon enjoyed an 11 year career as a player taking the field for the New York Yankees (1938-43,1949) and Cleveland Indians (1947-50). Gordon was a great fielding second baseman as well as being very apt with the bat. He was named to 9 All-Star teams, Played on 5 World Series Championship teams, as well as being named A.L. MVP in 1952. These achievements led to Gordon's election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990. After his playing career Gordon managed in the bigs for 5 seasons. This jersey hails from the 1961 season while Gordon was at the helm for the Kansas City A's. This rare one year style jersey is made by Wilson and is a size appropriate 48. The jersey shows moderate wear and has a stain on the back of the right sleeve. Great 1 year style gamer from an under appreciated Hall of Famer!!!! Really tough to find style!!! LOA from jersey expert Dave Miedema accompanies this jersey.
