Tony Kubek played his entire career with the New York Yankees (1957-1965). Kubek was a member of 4 All-Star teams and 3 Yankees World Series championship teams during his productive career. This Hillerich & Bradsby model B211, was manufactured for Kubek’s use during the 1960 World Series. The 1960 World Series pitted the American League Champions, New York Yankees against the National League Champions, Pittsburgh Pirates. The bat displays outstanding use with numerous ball marks and stitch impressions on the right and back barrel. A few ball marks can be seen on the left barrel and a couple shallow cleat impressions are in the left, right and back barrel. Also visible are blue bat rack streaks on the front barrel. A handle crack has been repaired. PSA has assigned this bat a grade of 9. An outstanding World Series bat from the former New York Yankees short stop! The bat is accompanied by a PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity PSA 9
