The winningest left-handed pitcher in baseball history, Warren Spahn, wore this cap for the Milwaukee Braves, and photographic evidence indicates it was on his head during his first no-hitter game on September 16, 1960 against the Philadelphia Phillies. This vintage Wilson sized 6 7/8 Braves cap is signed and personalized under the flap by the Hall of Famer and World War II veteran, including his #21 and Spahn written in vintage marker. The cap was obtained directly from Warren Spahn by a former MLB umpire who was an early collector of game worn material. He had displayed his items with small typed descriptions of the items so that all friends and visitors would know what they were looking at. The cap comes with the original, vintage typed card that was displayed with the cap over the past 60 years. A great opportunity to own a tremendous piece of history.
