Paul Waner player 20 seasons in the bigs taking the field for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1926-40), Brooklyn Dodgers (1941 & 1943-44), Boston Braves (1941-42), and New York Yankees (1944-45). Waner was one of the games premier hitters accumulating 3,152 Hits with a lifetime .333 batting average. Waner was also a 4x All-Star, 1927 N.L. MVP , and 3x N.L. Batting Champion. Waner game used bats come to auction once in a blue moon and this example dating to the prime of his career is a beauty. The bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. Ball marks can be seen across the contact surface as well as rack marks and grain swelling from extended use. The bat measures 35.5 " and weighs in at 40.8 oz. This is a must have bat for any advanced Hall of Fame or 3000 Hit Club collectors!!!! PSA has assigned this bat a grade of 7.5. This lot contains a reserve.
