Muehlebach Field opened in 1923 and the single deck stadium served as a staple for Kansas City baseball for 50 years. The Kansas City Blues began playing at Muehlebach in 1923 as did the Negro leagues Kansas City Monarchs. One year after opening Muehlebach hosted the 1st Negro League World Series which pitted the Kansas City Monarchs vs. Hillsdale. This book hails from the July 3rd 1923 Dedication. Extremely rare relic dating to the beginnings of this historic ballpark. Certainly a must have item for any Kansas City or vintage baseball collector. Stunning program that displays wonderfully!
