Kansas City Royals legend Willie Wilson stole 668 bases during his highly productive career good for 12th all-time. This lot contains the game used 2nd base that he swiped on 09/20/89 giving him 588 for his career. Originally this was thought to have been the steal to pass baseball legend Maury Wills and is noted as such, however Wilson actually passed Wills on 09/12/89 with steal number 587. This base has been signed by Willie Wilson in black pen. Very unique relic that was sourced directly from legendary groundskeeper George Toma and accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Mr. Toma.
