Certainly a name that will make you smile or cringe depending on which end of I-70 you reside Don Denkinger is certainly well remembered by St. Louis Cardinal and Kansas City Royals fans for "The Call". Although his controversial safe call of a Jorge Orta at first base during Game 6 of the 1985 World Series may be how Denkinger is best remembered it certainly is not how his career has been defined. Regarded as one of the A.L's most respected umps Denkinger is 1 of only 4 umps to be named crew chief for the ALCS 3 times. This Champion button down shirt was worn by Denkinger during him umpire career. The shirt is adorned with Denkinger's #11 on the sleeve as well as the American League patch on the pocket.
