Buddy Biancalana played 6 seasons in the Majors taking the field for the Kansas City Royals (1982-87) and Houston Astros (1987). Biancalana carried a light bat but possessed an elite glove while playing the shortstop position. Biancalana was a member of the 1985 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals and batted .278 with 2 RBI's and no errors in the Fall Classic. This jersey was prepared for Biancalana to use during the 1989 season. The jersey itself was used originally by Dave Owen in 1988 or Angel Salazar in 1987. The jersey was then recycled for use for Biancalana during his 1988 season in Omaha or for the 1989 season which he spent on the DL. Biancalana usually wore number 1 but was forced to switch to number 2 following the Royals trade for Kurt Stillwell. The jersey shows overall use and is tagged for the 1989 season. Biancalana has added his signature to the reverse of the jersey. Nice relic from the end of this popular players career!!!
