Ed "Too Tall" Jones played 15 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys helping them to a Super Bowl XII title and earning 3 All-Pro selections along the way. This Dallas Cowboys jersey and pants uniform set was worn by Jones during the 1987 strike season, most likely in Week 4 Vs. N.Y. Jets. Both the jersey and pants show use and the nameplate of the jersey reads ED JONES. The nameplate is unusual in the fact that only JONES or E. JONES were the norm nameplates for Jones through out his career. However due to replacement players usage in 1987, when Jones returned to the Cowboys several Jones were rostered by Dallas including fullback E.J. JONES causing the need to distinguish Ed Jones with his full name. With only one road game being played with the replacement players this was most likely worn in Week 4 against the N.Y. Jets. Both the jersey and pants are tagged correctly by Russell. Nice attractive and unusual game used relic from this popular player!!!
