Bill Virdon enjoyed a productive playing career that included a World Series Championship with the 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates. After his playing career concluded Virdon transitioned into the coaching and managerial ranks posting a record of 995-921 as a skipper for several teams. This game used full uniform and jacket dates to the 1983 season while Virdon was the manager of the Montreal Expos. The uniform and jacket ensemble shows appropriate wear and is tagged correctly.
