Mike Schmidt enjoyed an 18 year career in the bigs manning 3rd base for the Philadelphia Phillies (1972-89). Schmidt was a 12x All-Star and 10x Gold Glove Winner. Certainly regarded as one of the finest 3rd basemen of all-time Schmidt was a 3x N.L. MVP (1980, 81, & 86) and was a member of the Phillies 1980 World Series Championship team for which he was awarded the series MVP. Schmidt is a member of the exclusive 500 Home Run Club and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1995. This bat was originally issued to Schmidt's teammate Garry Maddox. At some point Schmidt took over as the bats primary user and his player number 20 has been written over Maddox's number 31 on the knob. The bat shows heavy use and has a handle crack. Schmidt has added his signature to the barrel of the bat. Nice signed duel use gamer from this Hall of Fame legend!
