Steve Busby pitched 8 seasons in the show all with the Kansas City Royals (1972-80). Busby was named to 2 All-Star teams (1974-75) and threw 2 No-Hitters the first being the first in Kansas City Royals History on April 27th 1973. Busby threw his second no hitter the following season in 1974 a year that also saw him win 22 games. Busby continued his sucess in 1975 winning 18 games but an rotator cuff injury derailed his 1976 season as well as for all practical purposes his career. Despite his short time in the light Busby was an inaugural member of the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame elected along with former teammate Amos Otis. Following his playing career Busby has worked in broadcasting for the Texas Rangers. This jersey was worn by Busby during his highly successful 1975 campaign.
