Stunning 1972-74 California Angels game used hat. This vintage lid shows heavy use and the number 23 rests on the inner brim. Three coaches wore 23 for the Angels during this span Jimmie Reese (1973), Dick Williams (1974), and Whitey Herzog (1974). A case could be made for all 3 possibly wearing this hat but with the larger 7 3/8 size Dick Williams being the largest of the three is the most likely candidate. Very nice vintage relic from this popular franchise!!!
