Bob Oliver played 8 seasons in the bigs suiting up for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1965), Kansas City Royals (1969-72), California Angels (1972-74), Baltimore Orioles (1974), and New York Yankees (1975). Oliver accumulating 745 Hits, 94 Home Runs, and 419 RBI's over his career. The Royals first real power hitter Oliver hit the first Grand Slam in Royals history on July 4th of 1969. Oliver went on to set career highs the next season hitting 27 Homers as well as 99 RBI's. This bat hails from the 1970 season as evidenced by the vintage ticket taped to the barrel. The handle of the bat has been cracked and is secured with several small tape rings. The bat shows great use and displays nicely
