Musial and manager Johnny Keane are on the sweet spot. Other notable players include Ken Boyer (1964 N.L. MVP), Curt Flood (7-time Gold Glove centerfielder), Dick Groat (1960 N.L. MVP), Tim McCarver, Julian Javier (2x All-Star), Bobby Shantz (1952 A.L. MVP), and Curt Simmons. 1963 was the last year for Musial & Schoendienst. This Cardinals team would finish in 2nd place in the National League, with a 93-69 record. Nice team signed baseball!!!
