The 1962 World Series saw the New York Yankees defeat the San Francisco Giants 4-3 to clinch there 20th World Championship. The series would last a then record 13 days due to rain delays in both cities. The extra time allowed Yankee pitcher Ralph Terry to start 3 games (3,5,&7) in the series in which he posted a 2-1 record with a 1.80 ERA. For his efforts Terry was named the World Series MVP. This Championship Ring was presented to Terry following the series. The ring is 14K gold and a genuine diamond rests in the face of the ring. The diamond is encircled by raised text reading "New York Yankees World Champions" while the shanks are identical with both bearing the Yankee hat and bat logo with a pronounced 1962.
