Ted Williams played 19 seasons in the majors all with the Boston Red Sox (1939-42 & 1946-60). Williams is considered one of the greatest hitters in the history of baseball and rightfully so as "The Splendid Splinter" was a 6x Batting Champ, 4x Home Run Champ, 2x MVP, and captured 2 Triple Crowns during his career. Game used items from Ted Williams are always in high demand. This ultra rare gamer dates to a very early and productive portion of Williams career. During the years this bat was in use Williams batted an outstanding .406 (1941) and captured a Triple Crown (1942). This gamer shows excellent use and a small portion of the back barrel has been restored. Absolutely fantastic one of a kind piece from one of the games greatest players of all time!!! PSA has assigned this bat a grade of 7.5 2nd Highest graded Pre-War Williams bat ever!!!
